GENERAL NOTES ON THE FAMILY OF GEORGE HOLLON: It is believed that George and Elizabeth lived in Ashe County, North Carolina, from 1810 to 1818-1819, and then moved to what is now Wolfe County, Kentucky, where their third child was born. George was a farmer. George and Elizabeth are both are buried in the Hollon-Gibbs graveyard on Holly Creek in Wolfe County, Kentucky. (Research Source: Timothy J. Barron, updated March 24, 2006)

1818 MARRIAGE OF GEORGE HOLLON AND ELIZABETH: Clay Hollon's 1958 book lists her as Elizabeth Mullins, but the following record says Bryant: "Bond dated 17 Sept. 1818 Floyd County, Kentucky, by George Holland and Josiah Bryant for a marriage shortly to be had between George Holland and Elizabeth Bryant."
